EBC collaborates with Baitzakat and EBI to deliver its first Capacity Building Initiative under Corporate Social Responsibility Program – Within the framework of the cooperation protocol between the Egyptian Banks Company and the Egyptian House for Zakat and Sadakat “Baitzakat – under the supervision of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif”, which aims to coordinate and develop social responsibility initiatives, the two parties in cooperation with the Egyptian Banking Institute have launched the “Training for Employment” initiative, through which 40 distinguished graduates of engineering and computer faculties were engaged in a training program to qualify them for joining the payments and financial technology industry in the banking sector.
 
EBC held a graduation ceremony, which was honored by the presence of the General Secretary of Baitzakat, Major General / Mohamed Amr Lotfy and Mr. Eng. Tarek Raouf, Executive Chairman and CEO of EBC and Mr. Ahmed Rabie, Executive Manager, and the ceremony was also attended by academic figures representing Egyptian universities, headed by Dr. Ali Al-Baialy- Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Al-Azhar, and Prof. Dr. Shahira Habashi, Head of the Helwan Systems and Information Department, and the ceremony was also honored by the attendance of Ms. Samar Abdel Hadi, Group Head of the Corporate Relations Sector at the Egyptian Banking Institute, and a number of leaders of Baitzakat and EBC.

It is worth mentioning that the training program targeted 40 outstanding graduates of the faculties of Engineering, Information Technology and Computer Science from Al-Azhar and Helwan universities, where the program, which was designed and implemented by the EBI, included: an introduction to the principles of banking operations and then an intensive training course on software development and applications supporting financial technology technologies and payments.  
 
During the ceremony, the partners emphasized that they will continue on their endeavors to launch more initiatives aimed at developing the skills of distinguished graduates and supporting Egyptian talents to join the payments and financial technology industry.
