Making Positive Impact

Responsible Growth

Better Payment for today & tomorrow

We deliver sustainable impact to every individual and business in Egypt through envisioning better payments for tomorrow. Payments today are yesterday’s ideas. No matter how efficient the payment methods are in the present, we commit ourselves to exploring new technologies and collaborate with the payments ecosystem to improve the future of payments.

Enhancing Electronic Payment Literacy

We aim to expand access to electronic payment methods and channels in rural and remote areas. Through our initiatives, we support electronic payment literacy and communicate trust in electronic payments to foster the conversion into a less cash dependent society.

More than 1300 Beneficiaries with a Majority Females

Promoting the use of electronic payments across Upper Egypt, our initiatives in Luxor, Beni Suef and Fayoum involved interaction with local communities and supporting small businesses with Point of Sale’s to enable electronic collection and payment to increase their methods of acceptance and capital.

Capacity Building within the Payments Industry

The payments industry is evolving rapidly and in order to ensure the competitiveness of the Egyptian payments market, there is a critical need for building capacity through developing, strengthening skills and abilities of young talents.
EBC has collaborated with Beit El Zakat and the Egyptian Banking Institute to organize a specialized program for capacity building within the payments industry. The program targets unemployed young talents in order to uplift their skills and enhance readiness for employment.
In 2023-2024, EBC and Beit El Zakat sponsored the training and development of 100 of the top university graduates to qualify for employment in the financial technology and payments industry. Over a span of more than 150 hours of training for each student, they received certifications from the Egyptian Banking Institute acknowledging their completion of two courses; Principles of Banking and Application technical development.

Healthy children for a brighter future

Every child has the right to quality healthcare and treatment from life threatening disease. EBC strives towards a healthier community through a number of initiatives targeting rural communities across Upper Egypt.

EBC has entered into a cooperation protocol with Shefaa El-Orman, the reputable NGO with programs targeting underserved communities in Upper Egypt. The objective of the protocol is to support EBC’s initiatives to contribute to the comprehensive development of local communities through better healthcare services.

Under the protocol, EBC is privileged to be one of the supporters of Shefaa El Orman Oncology Hospital, a non-governmental charity organization. The hospital initially serves six provinces in Upper Egypt (Luxor, Sohag, Qena, Aswan, The New Valley and The Red Sea) with a combined population of 11 million people and 12,000 newly diagnosed total cases per year. In addition, they promote cancer awareness campaigns in the hospital across Luxor to detect early diagnoses.
